COMFORT CROWD - CONAN GRAY
very into this tune at the moment
i la la love the outro, when its just the voices and the bass its so sick and i love the melody there
we're trying to produce some music right now, and so i've been listening a lot to music production and i really like the production on this, i think he uses like 4 vocal layers in the chorus? like a lower, mid and higher melody, and two harmonies?? he also talks about liking people around and i hate being alone so i also v relate to that

I WISH I WAS STEPHEN MALKMUS - beabadoobee
ive been very into beabadoobee lately, i really like bedroom pop and although this is definitely on the most rock n' roll edge of bedroom pop I think her other songs set her up in the bedroom pop realm. this song is a bop. there's one part where u can really tell that the notes are just barely out her range but she goes for it with all she has "ask me how I ammMMMmm" and i fuck with ittttt. also the bass line and guitar grooves are very Pavement and its groovy. also nathan approves of this song and that always makes me happy.

GINGER - Brockhampton
This whole album was my bop like a month ago. I felt the need to include it because it is so good and this is my first blog post about music I like, so I really wanted to include it. Brockhampton is one of the most influential bands in my life, anything they do inspires me to create more art and do whatever I want no matter who sees it or likes it. I love this album because even though a lot of people assume that they are a rap group it really shows their desire to be a pop group. Their production is also fucking *mwuah* perfecto and every little layer that comes in and out is like my bread and butter.

Immunity - CLAIRO
I have had my ups and downs with Clairo. I first absolutely loved her with Pretty Girl and Flaming Hot Cheetoh's because my partner liked her a lot and I enjoyed listening to the songs with them. However, when the album rolled around I was very hesitant, the first few listens I wasn't a huge fan just because I thought it sounded too processed/basic/ I didn't get any of the songs stuck in my head except "Sofia" and "Bags." Last week I fell down a YouTube Clairo hole, listened to some podcast interviews with her, and ultimately decided I was a Clairo stan. Despite it all, I am with it.

Angel's Pulse - Blood Orange
Blood Orange is a genius as far as I am concerned. Everything this man touches is gold. Dev Hynes has had so many different projects, touching multiple genres, subjects, etc. This one is probably his most groove based one to date even though Blood Orange has always been feel-heavy. Almost every song on the track-list transitions as if the song gets cut off, moving on to the next one mid-beat. That is genius. Also, his visual accompaniments are always spectacular, see his latest master piece below. I also highly recommend "Charcoal Baby."
